At least We Are Not Cocoa

One of the responses from Palm Bay citizens when confronted about their wonderful City is "hey at least we are not Cocoa." Because it makes us feel better that we are not the worst place to live in the County because we all know Cocoa is worse. Is it?

What is our City Motto now? Palm Bay a place to grow. Grow what? Weed? Most of the problems were caused by all of this growing with the crappiest of all plans.... I do not think there were any plans. It kind of went like this. We had sixty three square miles of city when I moved here in the early 80s they put all of the resources and funds to the Lockmar area that's where most of the City Council resided at the time so that's where the money went first, ignoring the rest of the City. Then we got our settlement from GDC so that worthless property surrounding the "hole in the doughnut" became prime real estate because this third world city needed a First Class golf course which created the Bay Side section of Palm Bay. The people who live in Bay Side really do not want to even say they live in Palm Bay they always answer "We live in Bay Side". I got news for you. You live in Palm Bay assholes. Now all the neighborhoods surrounding the Bayside area now want to be included as residents of Bay Side because being from Palm Bay sucks.

Cocoa has the City Motto “The City of Community, Culture and Commerce” Yeah big freaking whoop from the Crime Reports you still have us beat on Crack Heads, whores and people committing Battery. Where is all the culture there in Cocoa? The Cocoa Village Play House? It is not in Cocoa. Cocoa Village is your Bayside. Commerce? Well we got ourselves a Super Walmart too.
I think Palm Bay is just full of culture.

Have you ever been to the Winn Dixie Shopping Center on Malabar Rd. after dark. That's culture on full display.
Cocoa has their "little Viet Nam" We have Madalyn Landings
and The Park in Palm Bay Apartments. . We have 3 Publix's how many does Cocoa have ... ? Cocoa beats us in murders and drive bys but we are working on that.
Cocoa High is in Cocoa and Palm Bay High is in Melbourne.

But we have two other High Schools,
Bay Side and Heritage High ahh yes
Heritage High full of culture.

Palm Bay has hotter City Council Members

I think Cocoa is worse but we are sure giving them a run for the top or rather bottom.

  2. It isn't hard to be better then Cocoa, but as far as crime goes Palm Bay is better then Melbourne, Cocoa, Titusville, and Rockledge. It the cheapest and the safest place to live in the county. Just saying yeah Palm Bay sucks but if your stuck in Brevard county, Fl its probably the best place to be.
